| Haydn Davies |
Haydn Davies has visited S.E. Asia many times since his first arrival in 1994. He had his first taste of China in 2000 where he taught for a while in Ningbo. In 2005, working as a marketing and sales director for a publishing company in the UK he decided to revisit China, with his partner On arrival in China they soon acquired positions at Zhongshan Foreign Language School and the rest is history.
Tutoring mainly grades 6 and 7; over the years Haydn has taught every grade at some time. Known as ‘Davies’ throughout the school his catchphrases can usually be heard as he walks through the corridors of the school, either being relayed by himself or being echoed by his present, past and at times, surprisingly, future students.
As well as providing robust and challenging lessons he also has the position of being the Director of Foreign Communications for the school. This role includes the recruitment of foreign staff to the school and acting as a liaison between the school management and the foreign department, of which he is in charge. As the school and the department grow he strives to ensure a smooth integration and lifestyle not only to teaching life at Zhongshan Foreign Language School but also to life outside the school gates for all the foreign members of staff.
On top of managing the foreign staff he is also the goalkeeper for the schools teachers’ football team and has been known to sing the odd song at the post match celebrations. He appreciates the lifestyle that teaching at Zhongshan Foreign Language School provides not only locally but also by still having the opportunity to explore Asia and all that it beholds.
自从1994年第一次来到东南亚，Haydn Davies已经多次到访这一地区。2000年他在宁波有一小段时间的教书经历，那是他第一次来到中国。在2005年，在他任职于英国的一家印刷公司，担任市场营销总监一职的时候，他决定于他的拍档Sian Courtney再次来到中国。一到达中国，他们即开始任职于中山外语学校，一直至今。
Haydn主要教授六、七年级。这些年来，他已经教过每个年级的学生。作为闻名全校的“Davies”，当他走在学校的走廊时，他那引人注目的语言就会被他自己或者那些他教过的、正在教的乃至即将要教的学生们广为熟知。
除了提供充满活力并且具有挑战性的课堂，他也是我校的对外交流与合作的负责人。这个职位包括外籍职工的招聘以及协调学校行政部门和他所管理的外教组的关系。由于学校和外教组的不断发展，他努力确保所有外籍教师在中山外校校内及其校外的生活顺利。
除了是外籍教工的负责人，他也是学校教师足球队的守门员并且在赛后庆祝时唱一些稀奇好玩的歌曲。他非常珍惜在中山外校教学的生活方式，这也能让他有机会游遍亚洲。

| Sian Courtney |
Sian Courtney was an Editor for a national magazine in the UK before deciding to venture to China in 2005. What was originally intended to be a year sabbatical has now turned into a vocation. Over that time Sian has established herself as an important and popular member of staff at the school.
At present she is responsible for the small team of foreign teachers involved within the primary section of the school. Teaching the primary students can be a very energetic and exhilarating experience but a previous qualification in child behaviour and management has bought valuable experience to her post.
Sian has enjoyed introducing many activities at the school including western cooking classes for the students and the very popular (as you can imagine) film club. As well as her teaching duties she is also in charge of the schools English media requirements as well as the construction and maintenance of the schools web site.
Outside of school Sian likes to spend her free time cycling around the nearby lakes and mountains of Zhongshan. This taste for adventure is further extended in the holidays when she likes to travel throughout China and S.E. Asia.
By being a member of Zhongshan Foreign Language School it has brought many rewards, from seeing the improvement of the student’s language skills over the years to being able to experience and immerse her self in one of most diverse cultures first hand.
Sian Courtney在2005年决定到中国来之前在英国曾经是一个国家级杂志的编辑。原先打算的为期一年的公休假现在俨然已经变成了假期。在那段时间，Sian已经让自己成为这所学校的一个重要且受欢迎的教师之一。
现阶段，Sian负责学校小学部外籍老师的管理。教小学生是一个令人高兴的经历，同时先前在儿童管理方面的资格给她现今职位提供了宝贵的经验。
Sian乐于为学校介绍引入各类活动，其中包括西方烹饪课以及广受追捧的电影俱乐部。除了教学责任，她还负责学校英文媒体所需的东西以及英文网站的构建和维护。
在学校之外，Sian喜欢骑着车到处游览中山附近的山山水水。这个爱好会更加深入当她想要在中国以及东南亚地区旅行的时候。
成为中山外校的一员也给她带来了许多荣誉，比如看到这些年来学生语言技能的不断提高让她自己能够感受文化的多样性并沉浸在各式各样文化的洗礼中。

| Chris Handley |
Chris Handley - For over four years Chris has been living and teaching in Asia. This has enabled him to both enhance and develop his teaching skills as well as giving him the opportunity to experience Asian culture and travel throughout the continent. He has particularly enjoyed eating the vast array of dishes that Asian cuisine has to offer and has developed a taste for seriously spicy food.
For two years he taught spoken English at the No.1 High School in Zhongshan and also taught classes at the Bond Language Institute to a variety of different age groups and abilities. He then spent a year in South Korea, teaching Conversational English to adults at the Gukje Foreign Language School in Suwon City. Following this he returned to China and worked at the Bowen International School in Zhongshan where he taught high school students in the ESL section.
Now he is working in the prestigious Foreign Language School in Zhongshan teaching three grades of students in the middle and high school sections. He brings with him a wealth of teaching experience and seeks to motivate others to share his enthusiasm for the English language.
Teaching English can sometimes be a very challenging experience but he has always found it to be a highly rewarding one. He is a person who is committed to teaching, to maintaining professional standards and always striving to deliver high quality lessons.
Christopher is a huge football fan and a life-long supporter of Nottingham Forest, and has enjoyed watching 'the beautiful game' in various different countries around the world. He is also an avid movie watcher with a particular interest in Asian cinema.
Chris在亚洲生活和教学已有4年多，这让他不但能加强和提高教学技能也有机会来感受亚洲文化来游览这个大洲。他尤其是喜欢品尝亚洲风味的美食而且他也越来越能接受那些特辣的食物。
除了 在中山市一中教了2年的口语，同时他也在邦德语言学校教了各个阶段的班级。接着，他在韩国呆了一年时间，期间他在水泉市Gukje外语学校为成年人教授交际英语，之后他又回到中国，并在中山博文国际学校教授高中学生的英语课程。
现在，他任教于备受好评的中山外语学校，负责教授中学部三个年级的学生。他带来了丰富的教学经验同时还不断努力让其他人来分享他对英语语言的热情。
教英语有时候或许是一个非常具有挑战的经历但是他总是发现它是非常值得做的事情。他是这样一个全情投入到教学之中、坚持专业的标准并且总是力争上出高品质课的人。
Christopher是一个狂热的足球迷并且毕生支持诺丁汉森林队并且喜欢在各个不同的国家观看这个“美妙的比赛”。同时，他也是一个十足的电影爱好者尤其对亚洲电影有着极大的兴趣。

| Rebbecca Whordley |
Rebbecca Whordley - I am Rebecca aka Beckie. I have worked in the primary section of the school since 2009 and I truly and sincerely love it, the young people are so full of enthusiasm and excitement it makes everyday an interesting one to say the least. The children are so funny. It’s such a delight to be around them. I enjoy spending time decorating my class room with labels and pictures, as I feel this will enable the students to become more proficient in English writing and speaking, plus, it makes it a fun place to teach.
I have previous experience working in children's homes, nursery's, and schools and managing a variety of children's settings throughout the UK and Europe. I have been able to use and adapt my practical knowledge and qualifications advantageously here at Zhongshan Foreign Language School. I couldn't wish for a more perfect job, I feel blessed to work here.
After making the decision to travel, I have been to some of the most beautiful and fascinating countries in the world, this experience has given me the opportunity to witness some extraordinarily unforgettable sights, memories that will last forever. I love to explore and travel new places; the thought of traveling this vast country excites me. I can’t wait to see what else China has to offer.
I have a passion for snow boarding, abseiling, and other extreme sports, as well as the ordinary ones, such as, net ball, volleyball and boxing. The school has a gym which I enjoy using along with my fellow colleagues; this enables me to keep up with the healthy lifestyle which I have developed.
Learning the language has proven difficult; however, with help from the Chinese staff members, I am increasing my vocabulary day by day.
我是Rebecca aka Beckie。自从2009年开始我就在我校小学部工作，而我自己也真诚地热爱这份工作。年轻人是如此的充满热情和兴奋，这让每一天都是如此的有趣。孩子们这么的有趣。和他们在一起是如此的开心。我喜欢花时间用各种标签和图画来布置我的教室，因为我觉得这会让学生在英语书写和口语方面更加熟练，此外，它也可以让这里变成有趣的课室。
之前在英国乃至整个欧洲，我有过各种与孩子相关的工作经验。所以我也能将这些实践经验和专业技能用在中山外语学校的教学工作中。我再也找不到比这里更棒的工作，我为此感到激动。
在决定旅行后，我去了世界上最美丽最棒的几个国家，这些经历让我有机会看一看那些让人无法忘怀的景色，这些记忆永远都刻在我的脑海中。我喜欢游历和拜访新的地方，到中国这个辽阔的国家旅行的想法让我感到兴奋，我已经迫不及待想来看看中国。
我热爱极限运动，比如雪上滑板，岩降，当如其他一般的运动我也非常喜欢，比如网球，排球和拳击等。我喜欢和我的同事们一起在学校的体育馆里运动，这让我能够拥有一个更健康的生活方式。
学习中文确实是有难度，然而在我的中国同事们的帮助下，我的词汇量在一天天的增长。

Luke Robinson – Hi, my name's Luke. I have been teaching here at Zhongshan Foreign Language School since October 2009 and have the pleasure of tutoring the primary students. I have found that becoming an English language teacher in China is more than just a job. It is a chance to expand my personal boundaries and engage in one of the world's most ancient civilizations as a true insider.
After doing a round the world trip, it wasn't long before I knew that Asia was a place in which I would love to work and live. Initially, China seemed a bit daunting, with the lack of English speakers, and contrasting ways of life, etc. However, my friendly and supportive colleagues here soon helped me to feel at home. The country's invigorating and inspiring charms have made English language teaching a dream job for me.
I was extremely happy when I realised that there was a teachers' Football and Basketball team, which I soon became a part of. And being a keen athlete and a qualified personal trainer, I pride myself on a healthy lifestyle, therefore, the schools fully equipped gym also enables me to maintain this. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of fitness with the teachers and senior students, where I'm known for giving out strict diet plans and tough training regimes to cater for the individuals' personal goals.
大家好，我的名字叫Luke。自从2009年十月我一直任教于中山外语学校并且非常喜欢教导这些小学生。我也发现在中国作为一名英语教师不单单只是一份工作。它还是一个拓宽我个人眼界和让自己作为当事人来参与这个世界上最古老之一的文明的机会。
在进行完了环球旅行不久之后，我就深知亚洲会是我喜爱的工作和生活地点。最初，由于缺少说英语的人以及差异较大的生活方式，中国似乎让人感觉有点儿畏缩。然而，我友好的和乐于鼓励人的同事们立刻让我有了家的感觉。这个国家爽快的、鼓舞人的魅力立刻使得在这里教授英语成为我梦寐以求的工作。
当我知道这里有教师足球和篮球队时，我感到分外的开心，而我也立刻加入他们。作为一个热情的运动员和一个具有资格的教员，我为我自己拥有健康的生活方式而感到自豪。除此之外，学校完善的体育设施也在另外一方面帮助了我。我乐于和老师以及高年级的学生们分享我的知识，同时我个人制定严格的饮食计划和严苛的训练机制来满足个人目标的实现这一点也广为人知。
